Cernoch Wedding Story - Lasting Details by Lauren

Here’s a quick back story:

It all started with the click of a mouse on Haley’s LinkedIn profile. Reece glanced at her profile after Haley was hired at his office.

First date: Reece packed a charcuterie board with homemade dried sausage, cheese, a nice bottle of wine, wine glasses, and a large speaker into his pumped-up 1977 CJ5 Jeep. He took Haley to his family’s old dairy farm to watch the sun set over the rolling hills. The two talked for hours while sitting at the end of the dock, gazing at the stars. Reece stole a kiss at the end of the night and that sealed the deal.

Fast forward: Four years later during their Christmas photoshoot in downtown Columbus, Reece knelt down in the middle of Haley’s favorite pocket park to pop the question.

Wedding: Both deeply rooted in all things Czech, their love for Texas, and their faith, Haley and Reece had a full mass in Reece’s home parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The two danced—and Reece sang—the night away in La Grange’s Historic Casino Hall. The night ended with Mr. & Mrs. Cernoch heading towards happily ever after in his family’s 1965 Chevy truck.

Haley contacted me over a year in advance of their wedding and informed me that she was booking all other vendors around me. I was honored that she chose me to document her wedding journey. From their engagements to her bridals and add-on session and closing with their wedding day, these two have been so much fun to work with.

Their engagement session was one of my favorites to date – even though Haley was feeling under the weather, she was a supermodel! She kept telling me how awkward and non-photogenic they both were… and, in my head, I’m thinking what in the world is this gorgeous human talking about?! I asked them the one thing I ask all my couples – please just trust me and let yourself go with the flow during our sessions. I promise to break all the ice, get you in your feelings and capture those genuine, candid moments. Sometimes I give you a little nudge, but, it’s YOU – the couple – that creates the magic for me to freeze.
